learn how to meditate

listen as i talk you through it

One would thing sitting and meditating would be easy. Just sit there, close your eyes, and don’t do anything, right? How hard can it be? Right? Well it isn’t hard at all. Meditating is more than merely doing nothing. Like anything else, you have to practice. You get better at it over time. There are no shortcuts or cheats.

Regular meditation can be very relaxing and calming. It helps relieve stress and tension. When you quiet yourself and turn your attention inward, things happen for the better. Don’t take my word for it; try it for yourself.

I’ve prepared a set of guided meditations. There are six different versions, each with slightly different wording. After you hear my voice there's a pause of 10, 15, or 20 minutes and followed by the sound of 3 bells. My suggestion is to try all of the variations and use the one(s) you like. Try rotating them. Choose a time period that works for you. Sit for longer periods as you become more comfortable meditating. Think of these as training wheels. After awhile you&rsuo;ll find you don’t need them.

Begin by finding a quiet, peaceful place, away from noise and distractions. Turn off your cell phone and your other gadgets. Make yourself comfortable. Focus on your breath. Listen to the words and relax. Now make this a daily habit. Stick with it.

The female voice over was done by Lauri Murdock. Several of my voices were recorded and produced by Illoquint.
